Hip(ster) or Hype Brands

Just like the real black glassed, rolled up skinny jeans, moustache having hipster sporting dirty combat boots and a buttoned up flannel shirt on their way to some obscure bar/bookshop/cafe that no one knows about, a certain look is going around that typifies the hipster branding movement. Just google hipster logo and see for yourself. Unfortunately, the problem with these ‘movements’ is that as people strive to define their individuality they kind of end up all looking the same. And then begins the ending of that style. We have noticed the same with anything from a cafe or bar to gourmet butcher and everything in between trying to express their unique vibe through a hip(ster) styled brand. Given the only application is a rubber stamp, it shouldn’t cost too much to update next year.

There seems to be a pretty simple formulae to look like a hipster, so here is the not so secret formula to branding like one. Enjoy (just don’t forget the anchor). Then you too can individually look like everyone else.
